Jason London

City of Calgary Liaison

Jason London works for The City of Calgary in Waste and Recycling Services, where he is focusing on diverting Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste, developing a strategy for the future development of City waste management facilities, and providing direction to the City on the potential implementation of waste-to-energy.

He has recently worked as a private consultant, completing several projects in the field of business planning, strategy development and assisting applicants for bottle depot permits in Alberta.  Jason started his professional career at the Beverage Container Management Board (BCMB), where he undertook policy development, project and program management, spearheaded all compliance-based activities of a team of compliance officers, and completed his tenure as BCMB’s Director of Operations.

Other notable accomplishments include serving a two year tenure as the Recycling Council of Alberta’s President and one year as an RCA Director, and serving on the Board of Directors for the Alberta Recycling Management Authority.

Jason holds the degree of MBA in Executive Management from Royal Roads University, and a Diploma in Health, Safety and Environment Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
