Vehicles worldwide generate more than 3.7 billion gallons of used motor oil each year. Both used oil and antifreeze are recyclable. But when improperly disposed, they run off into water bodies or seep into the ground, polluting water. The Used Oil Management Associations of Canada (UOMA) turns collected motor oil and antifreeze into 100 percent recycled-content products. Programs like UOMA in Canada and others in Europe have matured over the past 25 years, with the best programs reporting collection rates over 90 percent, at little to no cost.

In this webinar, speakers from two producer responsibility organizations, UOMA and Valorlub (Belgium), will share their experiences managing these evolving systems. In addition, Chief Technology Officer of Avista Oil, which has re-refineries in Germany and the U.S. state of Georgia, will discuss the process and benefits of turning used oil into high quality re-refined oil. There will be ample time for live Q&A with the speakers.
