About the opportunity

The Community Investment Coordinator is responsible for the planning, development and delivery of a broad range of community-based programs designed to promote non-refillable beverage container recycling in Alberta, which includes

  • Engaging in the identification, planning, development, evaluation and growth of programs designed to enhance and support beverage container recycling in Alberta
  • Assisting new program partners in the program application process
  • Contributing to the development of annual program plans, budgets and strategic plans
  • Liaise with partnerships when necessary to ensure compliance with program requirements
  • Planning, organizing and evaluating ABCRC’s School Recycling Program and Community Champions Programs
  • Conduct educational training for elementary school students on beverage container recycling in Alberta (25% travel requirement)
  • Monitor and track Key Performance indicators
  • Contribute, write, edit, design, publish and promote engaging, brand-aligned content and images across traditional and new communications platforms with an emphasis on digital platforms (Intranet, Websites, Extranet and Social Media)

Requirements

  • Ability to travel within Alberta as required (25%)
  • Previous event & project planning experience
  • Presentation & Communication experience
  • Advanced interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Adept at public speaking and facilitating presentations
  • Post Secondary Education, preferably with a Business focus and/or equivalent experience
  • Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a clean Criminal Records Search
  • Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
  • Goal focused with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast paced environment with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated knowledge and user experience with Excel, E-Mail, and Word Documents
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, prioritization and problem solving skills
