RCA Member Feature – Entropic

Connector January 2024

The RCA is advancing a circular economy in the province of Alberta. As a non-profit charitable organization, we achieve our goals by working collaboratively with and for our members and partners.

In this edition of Connector, we’re excited to showcase Entropic, a valued member of the RCA!

Entropic is a management system for the recycling industry, designed specifically for the dismantling of end-of-life products. Their modular and customizable system offers comprehensive support for the management of dismantling and recycling end-of-life products with a focus on data tracking, traceability, and accountability.

Entropic provides the tools necessary to protect sensitive information, manage hazardous materials, and ensure compliance with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations. Their technologies and data-driven approaches empower businesses to maximize resource efficiency and material traceability and accurately track the origin, composition, and quality of recycled materials.

Their team started to develop its expertise in the digitization of recycling processes in 2019. At that time, there was no de-manufacturing management system for the traceability of refrigeration units and materials. Entropic changed that when a new regulatory framework required our partners to perform digital traceability.

Entropic’s CEO, Sébastien Harvey, presented at the 2023 Recycling Council of Alberta Circular Economy Conference. You can find his presentation on the power of data in the circular economy on the RCA’s website here.
