Whitney Issik Sworn in As Alberta’s New Minister of Environment and Parks

On June 21 the Provincial Government shuffled some key cabinet positions. Former Minister, Environment & Parks, Jason NIxon is now Minister, Finance. The new Minister, Environment & Parks is Whitney Issik who was formerly Associate Minister, Status of Women. 

Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, Ms. Issik owned and operated a small business in Calgary for close to 30 years. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Calgary, where she served as vice-president of finance for the students’ union.

We look forward to working with Ms. Issik in her new portfolio and thank Mr. Nixon for his work over the last few years.
