Big Shot is Back: Circular Economy Pitch Night 2026

Big Shot is back for its second year!


What happens when Alberta’s circular innovators get five minutes, a room full of changemakers, and a big idea worth sharing?

On November 25, 2026, the Recycling Council of Alberta is bringing Big Shot: Circular Economy Pitch Night to Edmonton Unlimited – an evening celebrating the entrepreneurs, innovators and ideas moving Alberta’s circular economy forward.

Five selected entrepreneurs will take the stage to pitch their circular business ideas to an audience of Big Shots – including potential investors, partners, community leaders and fellow circular economy champions.

A Judges Panel will vote for their favourite pitch, with the winning presenter earning the title of Big Shot 2026 Winner and a featured opportunity at next year’s RCA Circular Economy Conference.

Are you working on a product, service, project or business model that:

  • reduces waste;
  • extends the life of products or materials;
  • reuses, repairs, refurbishes or remanufactures; or
  • advances resource efficiency or sharing?

We want to hear from you.

Selected pitchers will have the opportunity to showcase their idea to an engaged audience, receive constructive feedback and pitch coaching, build connections across Alberta’s circular community, and compete for the Big Shot title.
