RCA 2023 Conference EPR Workshop Announcement – One does not simply introduce EPR into Alberta

Participate in an EPR Workshop as part of the highly anticipated 2023 RCA Circular Economy Conference, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, scheduled from October 18th to 20th. Drawing inspiration from the Lord of the Rings saga, the 2023 RCA Conference theme, “There and Back Again: the Journey to Circularity,” perfectly aligns with its focus on the circular economy.
Make sure to mark October 18th on your calendar as the RCA Conference presents an engaging workshop titled “One does not simply introduce EPR Into Alberta.” The presenting organizations include Alberta’s oversight body, The Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA), AEPA (Alberta Environment and Protected Areas), and two prominent producer responsibility organizations (PROs) – Circular Materials and Product Care.
During the workshop, AEPA (Alberta Environment and Protected Areas) will conduct an insightful overview of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulatory framework. ARMA’s CEO, Ed Gugenheimer, and Gabrielle Betts, ARMA’s Executive Director of Extended Producer Responsibility, will dive into EPR oversight. They’ll give you the lowdown on EPR bylaws and walk you through the registration process (Tool Kit). Additionally, Allen Langdon, CEO of Circular Materials, and Brian Bastien, CEO of Product Care, will share their expertise on what to expect post-registration. It’s a not-to-be-missed opportunity for profound insights into EPR in Alberta!
