The RCA Welcomes Venus Lai, Digital Marketing & Communications Coordinator

We are pleased to welcome Venus Lai to the Recycling Council of Alberta as our new Digital Marketing & Communications Coordinator.

Venus is passionate about the circular economy as a purposeful and practical solution for our collective future — a vision that closely aligns with the RCA’s mission.

“I’m particularly inspired by how the RCA empowers its members through engaging meetups, insightful events, influential advocacy, and collaborative action,” Venus shares.

Venus began her career in strategic media planning in Hong Kong, where she developed a strong ability to translate market insights and audience research into meaningful, results-driven communication. After moving to Canada, she continued her studies at SAIT in Calgary to further strengthen her expertise in graphic design and digital communications.

“We’re pleased to welcome Venus to the RCA team. Her background in marketing and her experience in digital design will help us better share the stories, insights, and impact happening across Alberta’s circular economy,” shares executive director, Jennifer Koole. “We’re excited to have her support our members and help grow the reach of RCA’s work.”

In her new role, Venus looks forward to not only sharing RCA’s story, but also to helping co-create a circular future alongside RCA members — amplifying the important work happening across Alberta and inspiring more organizations to take action.
