Alberta Invests $49 Million to Shape the Circular Economy

Big news for Alberta’s circular economy!

Alberta is committing $49 million to accelerate a broad range of technologies and solutions to help accelerate the circular economy, create economic opportunity, and improve the environment.

In total, 18 projects valued at $198 million in public and private investment are receiving funding through Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA)’s Advanced Materials Challenge. Read the full announcement here.

These projects are expected to create nearly 1,600 jobs, inject $233 million into Alberta’s economy, and reduce about 3.4 million tonnes of emissions by 2030.
