Lethbridge Launches New Library of Things and Makerspace

We’re thrilled to share the news of the launch of Lethbridge’s very own Library of Things and Makerspace at the Lethbridge Public Library! This fantastic community resource allows people to borrow tools, equipment, and other useful items instead of purchasing them, promoting a more sustainable and circular economy. Some of the unique items available include a seed library, fishing rods, and bicycle pumps!
The Recycling Council of Alberta is proud to have supported the planning and development of this project as part of our Circular Communities initiative. We believe that shared resources strengthen communities, reduce waste, and promote environmental stewardship. The Lethbridge Library of Things and Makerspace follows in the footsteps of the successful Library of Things in the Town of Banff, another impactful community initiative made possible through our Circular Communities project.
A huge congratulations to the Lethbridge team and the dedicated individuals who made this vision a reality, including Mandi Parker and Raene Barber. Their commitment has been instrumental in bringing this exciting resource to the community!
