RCA New Member Spotlight: Alberta Motor Association

Connector August 2025

The Recycling Council of Alberta (RCA) is on a mission to advance the circular economy in Alberta. As a dedicated non-profit and charitable organization, we’re proud to work with a growing network of members who are turning waste challenges into resource opportunities. Today, we’re excited to spotlight one of our new members helping do just that, the Alberta Motor Association (AMA).

The Alberta Motor Association formed in 1926, when auto clubs from Edmonton and Calgary joined forces to make things better for motorists. Together, they lobbied for safer roads and lower fuel taxes, marking the start of a nearly century-long legacy of Albertans serving Albertans.

With over 975,000 members, the Alberta Motor Association is one of the province’s most trusted organizations, providing roadside assistance, travel services, insurance, advocacy, and more. Beyond their well-known services, AMA is taking steps to integrate sustainability into their operations, supporting environmental responsibility through waste diversion, recycling, and education initiatives.

We’re proud to welcome the Alberta Motor Association to the RCA network.
