Take Part in Plastic Free July with the RCA

Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities.

Whether it’s skipping the plastic cutlery, choosing reusable bags, or refilling containers at your local shop, cutting down on plastic waste makes a real impact.

At the Recycling Council of Alberta, we take part in this effort all year long. But July gives us a moment to pause, recommit, and encourage others to do the same. It’s also a chance to celebrate the growing movement of communities, households, and businesses finding smart, circular solutions that keep plastics out of landfills and ecosystems.

Join us this month by making one change, or many. Refuse what you don’t need, reuse what you can, and recycle better. Let’s work together to create less waste and more value—this July and all year round.
