As we approach the holiday season, the Recycling Council of Alberta (RCA) is thrilled to share the highlights of an impactful year. Together, we’ve made notable strides in advancing the circular economy across Alberta. Explore more details in the 2023-2024 RCA Annual Report. Here’s a look back at some of our key achievements:

• Welcoming New Leadership: Jennifer Koole joined us as our new Executive Director, bringing her wealth of experience and vision for a circular future.

• Launching Vision 2030: This ambitious strategic plan sets the course for RCA’s transition from recycling to circularity, outlining bold goals for the years ahead.

• Growing Our Community: We welcomed 800 new LinkedIn followers and 36 new or returning members to the RCA family.

• Supporting Our Members: With 16 member events and tours, we strengthened connections and provided valuable support to advance shared goals.

• Driving Advocacy & Education: Through webinars on key topics like Right to Repair and Alberta’s transition to EPR, we explored critical circular economy topics such as reducing single-use plastics, organics processing, and innovative solutions for hard-to-divert materials. • Hosting the 2024 RCA Conference: This year’s event brought together 30 exhibitors, 42 presenters, and 374 attendees, fostering collaboration and innovative ideas for a sustainable future.
