Calling all Waste Reduction Enthusiasts – Join Waste Reduction Week

The Recycling Council of Alberta is once again promoting the national Waste Reduction Week (WRW – www.wrwcanada.com) program that focuses on the transformation to a circular economy. The program runs from October 18-24, and its purpose is to celebrate individual and collective environmental commitments, efforts, and accomplishments while encouraging innovative ideas and solutions around waste reduction.

This year, the RCA would like to invite members to participate on a WRW project team where we will discuss and share ideas for events, awareness, and campaigns. By collaborating, we can maximize our resources and support each other while increasing public awareness about year-round waste reduction efforts and the advancement of a circular economy.

The commitment will involve a few online meetings between now and October 18 to share your ideas along with other motivated communities, businesses, and individuals. You will also receive resources and support from the group’s collaboration to take back and advance your own WRW programs.
