Join the RCA Board of Directors to Shape Alberta’s Future Circular Economy
The RCA is an agent of change – advocating for solutions that will transform our throwaway economy into one where waste is eliminated, and the full value of resources is respected beyond just recycling. Recent changes to our Board of Directors have opened new positions so we are looking for skilled individuals interested in joining our Board. New Directors of the Board for the 2023-2025 term will be elected at a special meeting in early February.
This is your chance to be part of a grassroots organization with an active and respected voice, working to reduce waste and advance the broader benefits of a circular economy in Alberta. If you want to be part of Alberta’s strongest waste reduction voice, we want to hear from you.
The RCA is committed to strengthening and building a diverse board with broad skill sets. We are welcoming to groups of all ethnicities, backgrounds and ages. We would love to hear from candidates with some of the following skills:
- experienced in finance and accounting,
- understand environmental policy, board governance and risk management,
- a legal background,
- expertise in IT or IT systems,
- strong industry connections in the retail and commercial sectors,
- fund development and sponsorship,
- knowledge and experience in marketing,
- skilled in strategic and succession planning, or
- skilled in government relations
Do you think more needs to be done to reduce waste and build a circular economy?
Would you like to influence recycling policy in Alberta?
Are you inspired to work with other enthusiastic people on meaningful resource conservation-related projects?
Then the Recycling Council of Alberta needs you!
