Nominations Now Open for the 2025 Rs of Excellence Awards
The Recycling Council of Alberta Rs of Excellence awards recognize the individuals, organizations, and programs that are leading the way in advancing Alberta’s circular economy through waste reduction and resource conservation. If you know a person, municipality, business, or initiative making an outstanding contribution, we encourage you to submit a nomination.

Nominees will be evaluated on:
- Quantifiable waste reduction impacts
- Innovation and progress toward circularity
- Leadership and track-record
- Long-term environmental commitment
Suggested categories include:
- Institutional Leadership
- Product Stewardship
- Waste Reduction Service
- Corporate Leadership
- Zero Waste
- Special Event
- Municipal Program
The application process is simple. Submit your nomination through the online form and include a description of goals, results, and accomplishments. At least one letter of support is required, and additional materials such as photos are welcome. All submissions must be received by September 12, 2025.
