RCA Member Spotlight – Rebound Recycle Inc.

Connector May 2023

The RCA is advancing a circular economy in the province of Alberta. As a non-profit, charitable organization, we accomplish our goals by working collaboratively with and for our members and partners. This month, the RCA is proud to spotlight one of its members – Rebound Recycle Inc.

ReBound ReCycle Inc. is a one of a kind retrieval and recycling service for foam underlay recyclable materials (chipfoam and memory foam only). Their service is based out of Calgary and is available from Edmonton to Lethbridge and all surrounding area commercial stores and Landfills.

Their unique diversion program for foam products is accessible, affordable, and great for the environment. Rebound Recycles services help eliminate costly waste removal for carpet supply stores, builders, property management companies and installers by ensuring foam underlay does not end up in construction site garbage bins – saving space, money and the environment. . They are also looking to work with more Municipalities to divert the product from their Landfills.

Robert Kaemingh took over the reins of the company in June 2011 from Bobby‐Jo Carswell, who started ReBound ReCycle Inc, in 2010. The vision has grown from helping the City of Calgary to helping Alberta become a healthier, cleaner and more environmentally friendly province to live in.
