Reflecting on 2023: Celebrating Milestones and Achievements

Reflecting on the significant strides of 2023, we bid farewell to the year with a moment of celebration for the milestones that have defined it. Notably, the initiation of Alberta’s transition to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and the hosting of the largest RCA Circular Economy conference to date.

The 2023 RCA Circular Economy Conference served as a convergence point for visionaries, experts, and enthusiasts, engaging in captivating discussions and sharing profound insights on the circular economy. As the conference concluded, the prevailing sentiment remained one of optimism and resolve, with a collective vision steering towards a more circular and resilient future. You can access most speaker presentations from the conference in pdf format here.

In addition to the success of the conference, we warmly welcome the members elected to the Recycling Council of Alberta board in 2023: Cathy Heron, Andrew Horsman, and Tammy Burke (re-elected). Their presence on the board will be instrumental in guiding our organization toward a circular future.
