Industry Loses a Great Friend

The RCA sadly reports that Konrad Fichtner of Vancouver, British Columbia, passed away in July, 2019.

He was one of Canada’s foremost Waste Management experts with a particularly deep knowledge of Waste-to-Energy issues. He worked with many organizations, including the RCA, to educate people on the science behind waste-to-energy. He recently shared his knowledge on WtE with the RCA Board of Directors, who were enthralled with his incredible breadth of information and down-to-earth style. His wheelhouse of understanding will be irreplaceable. Those of us who knew him as a friend and colleague will miss him greatly.
